چکیده
The effects of groundwater table fluctuation (GTF) on the remediation a petrochemically polluted riverside using soil vapor extraction (SVE) were investigated. migration and transformation benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, o-xylene (BTEX) in cases natural attenuation, SVE without GTF, with GTF simulated TMVOC model. results showed that optimized well pressure influencing radius target site 0.90 atm 8 m, respectively. removal rates BTEX 11.49%, 85.16%, 97.33%, rate was maximized case amplitude 0.5 m to 1 m. benzene (99.99%), toluene (99.74%), ethylbenzene (96.37%), (94.72%) GTF. For mass losses gaseous (0.05 kg, 0.05 respectively) aqueous phases (5.46 5.87 consistent. However, loss non-aqueous phase liquid (NAPL) (155.13 kg) exceeded (135.41 kg). This is because positively affected both solubility volatility NAPL phase. With decreasing, flows gas pollutants increased by 25% along vertical section. At this stage, volatile organic compounds can be further improved increasing flow well.

Multiphase Mesh Partitioning
We consider the load-balancing problems which arise from parallel scientific codes containing multiple computational phases, or loops over subsets of the data, which are separated by global synchronisation points. We motivate, derive and describe the implementation of an approach which we refer to as the multiphase mesh partitioning strategy to address such issues. The technique is tested on se...
متن کاملModeling of Surfzone Bubbles Using a Multiphase VOF Model
We formulate a general multiphase model representing water-bubble mixture fluid and multi-component bubble populations. An enhanced 2-DV VOF model with a k− turbulence closure is used to model the mixture fluid phase. The bubble phase is governed by the advection-diffusion equations of the gas molar concentration and bubble intensity for groups of bubbles with different sizes. The initial bubbl...
متن کاملMultiphase Turbulent Modeling using LES
The modeling of multiphase, turbulent flows and their dynamics has become increasingly important in many environmental, geophysical, and engineering applications. These areas require the use of models that can effectively represent both the multiphase and turbulent characteristics involved in the simulation. Due to the large increase in computational power required to both simulate multiphase a...
متن کاملComparison of Sample Preparation Methods for the Analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds in Soil Samples: Solvent Extraction vs Vapor Partitioning
Presently, both direct vapor partitioning and solvent extraction methods of sample preparation are commonly used for the characterization of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in soil. These two approaches of recovering VOCs from this matrix, and other forms of solid waste, are often used interchangeably without any recognition of how different parameters (enviromental and procedural) influence ...
متن کاملColumn Experiment Design to Estimate Parameters for Modeling of Vapor Extraction/Bioventing Sequential Soil Treatment
Setting up accurate and user-friendly models of physical, chemical and biological processes is particularly useful for design and optimization of vapor extraction/bioventing (SVE/SBV) systems, and prediction of residual concentrations and remediation time. Despite improvment of model structures, the optimum experiments should be designed for model calibration. The feasibility of parameter estim...
