Modeling and Vibration Suppression of a Flexible Structure in SimMechanics

In this work, modeling and simulation of a flexible cantilever beam are investigated in SimMechanics then, vibration results verified with the finite element (FE) model ANSYS. Flexible based on is created MATLAB, while FE established system, inputs determined as force base actuator disturbance force. Outputs system selected displacement acceleration responses at endpoint beam. Undamped natural frequencies by modal analysis ANSYS frequency MATLAB. Transient analyses achieved to obtain responses. For open loop responses, using step harmonic excitations. The closed-loop control PID controller applied models position. indicated for different gains. It observed that successfully matched well SimMechanics. accuracy model.
