Modeling and simulation of partially miscible two-phase flow with kinetics mass transfer

Multiphase flow equations for two components (for instance water and hydrogen) phases (liquid gas), with equilibrium phase exchange, have been used to simulate the process of miscible displacement in porous media. Laboratory field studies shown that this assumption fails under certain circumstances especially accurate description pollution a finite transfer velocity, called here kinetics. We propose numerical scheme based on two-step convection/diffusion-relaxation strategy non-equilibrium model. In first step we solve intra-phase (convection/diffusion) working liquid saturation, pressure dissolved hydrogen concentration as primary variables. second step, address interphase using solubility relation is solved by projection state. This technique also ensures positivity saturation produces energy estimates. One important advantage approach fact simulation can be easily adapted different linear non-linear laws between phases. Another our proposed method includes kinetics keeps components. implemented new model in-house code present results comparing one.
