چکیده
Abstract The joining techniques between carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) and metal are of great importance in many areas structural mechanics where the optimization weight, rigidity, strength is a necessity (such as aeronautics, vehicles, energy generation, biomechanics). As result, several types metal-composite joints have been manufactured using different methods, with 3D anchor solution attracting significant attention. This study evaluates geometries applied to single lap through preliminary finite element method (FEM) simulations experimental validation on CFRP Inconel 625 produced via laser beam powder bed fusion (LB-PBF) additive process. models proposed increase complexity. homogenization process employed determine equivalent properties joint region that occupied by anchors CFRP. model also supports topology parametrization assess impact geometry properties. provides under tensile load for various anchoring surface topologies.

Additively Manufactured Porous Biomaterials and Implants
Recent advances in additive manufacturing (AM) techniques (otherwise known as 3D printing) have enabled fabrication of a new class of porous biomaterials (Figure 1) with arbitrarily complex and precisely controlled topologies that e.g. resemble the geometry and micro-architecture of (trabecular) bone. Since the geometry of scaffolds and biomaterials is an important factor in bone tissue regener...

Honeycombs resemble the structure of a number of natural and biological materials such as cancellous bone, wood, and cork. Thick honeycomb could be also used for energy absorption applications. Moreover, studying the mechanical behavior of honeycombs under in-plane loading could help understanding the mechanical behavior of more complex 3D tessellated structures such as porous biomaterials. In ...

3D die stacking is a promising technique to allow miniaturization and performance enhancement of electronic systems. Key technologies for realizing 3D interconnect schemes are the realization of vertical connections, either through the Si die or through the multilayer interconnections. The complexity of these structures combined with reduced thermal spreading in the thinned dies complicate the ...
