A simulation was carried out in the Santa Catarina River watershed, located State of Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to study flood patterns and velocity maps during occurrence Hurricane Alex June-July 2010. To conduct this simulation, a two-dimensional model Watershed employed using HEC-RAS software. The driven by Multisensor grid precipitation data as input. Land cover soil layers were utilized order obtain various parameters within such Curve Number, Manning Abstraction Ratio, Infiltration Rate, Percent Impervious Land. simulated water levels calibrated comparing them with observed values at Cadereyta Hydrometric Station, which is near city Monterrey. utilization combined demonstrates that particular easy set up user-friendly. Moreover, exhibits stability possesses ability accurately simulate watershed.
