Model fluids substituting fresh UHPC mixtures flow behaviour

چکیده

Abstract Carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and ultrasound gel (USG) seem to be suitable clear model fluids substitute real ultra-high-performance concretes (UHPCs), enabling experimental monitoring of events occurring within these mixtures at similar flow behaviour. USG is eligible for UHPC with significant yield stress. CMC having a concentration better UHPCs exhibiting indistinct The rheological behaviour as well substituting was measured using non-standard system consisting vessel stirred by an anchor or screw agitator. In addition, standard rotational rheometer concentric cylinder geometry used optimization the above-mentioned method measurement also measuring parameters fluids. This article deals methodology properties substances presents results measurements curves models.

Phase transitions and critical behaviour of simple fluids and their mixtures

It has become clear that the self-consistent Ornstein–Zernike approximation (SCOZA) is a microscopic liquid-state theory that is able to predict the location of the critical point and of the liquid–vapour coexistence line of a simple fluid with high accuracy. However, applications of the SCOZA to continuum systems have been restricted up to now to liquids where the interatomic potentials consis...

SAFT Associating Fluids and Fluid Mixtures

While we could argue that the goals of modelling fluid phase equilibria have not changed greatly since the time of van der Waals, there is little doubt that the systems of interest have gradually increased in complexity; surfactants, polymers, hydrogen-bonding molecules such as water, and polyfunctional molecules such as amino acids and peptides are now routinely considered. The demand for effe...

Development of UHPC Mixtures Utilizing Natural and Industrial Waste Materials as Partial Replacements of Silica Fume and Sand

In the exploratory study presented in this paper, an attempt was made to develop different mixtures of ultrahigh performance concrete (UHPC) using various locally available natural and industrial waste materials as partial replacements of silica fume and sand. Materials such as natural pozzolana (NP), fly ash (FA), limestone powder (LSP), cement kiln dust (CKD), and pulverized steel slag (PSS),...

Surfactant micelles: model systems for flow instabilities of complex fluids.

Complex fluids such as emulsions, colloidal gels, polymer or surfactant solutions are all characterized by the existence of a "microstructure" which may couple to an external flow on time scales that are easily probed in experiments. Such a coupling between flow and microstructure usually leads to instabilities under relatively weak shear flows that correspond to vanishingly small Reynolds numb...
