Mobile memory gas station: A valid phone screen for cognitive impairment
نویسندگان
چکیده
Background Conventional neuropsychological assessments for cognitive impairment are burdensome. We developed a novel Wechat applet detecting impairment. The Mobile Memory Gas Station is an assessment tool rapid screening of functions, covering 7 important domains (memory, attention, executive function, language, visuospatial skills, social cognition, and computing). Method 102 patients were recruited (Normal control: 51; mild impairment: 32, dementia: 19) to detect the diagnostic ability this applet. Result Compared conventional assessments, results in faster evaluations (10 min) generates higher accuracy at abnormal cognition. Our Results showed that had good correlation with MMSE (P < 0.01), MoCA (P< 0.01) moderate agreement MCI dementia. Conclusion This demonstrated sufficient psychometric properties be useful MCI, especially when clinic visits not feasible. These findings instrumental patient screening, monitoring management.

Developing a Mobile Phone Application for Common Radiotherapy Calculations
Accuracy of the radiotherapy requires some routine quality control and dosimetry calculations, which would be done by radiotherapy physicists. Due to the increasing use of computers and simulation software in medical science, as well as trends indicating its continued growth, this study aims to develop a new smart-phone application to perform common radiotherapy-related calculations. Computatio...
متن کاملShort-Term Exposure to Mobile Phone Base Station Signals
Individuals who report sensitivity to electromagnetic fields often report cognitive impairments that they believe are due to exposure to mobile phone technology. Previous research in this area has revealed mixed results, however, with the majority of research only testing control individuals. Two studies using control and self-reported sensitive participants found inconsistent effects of mobile...
متن کاملThe “DOC” screen: Feasible and valid screening for depression, Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and cognitive impairment in stroke prevention clinics
BACKGROUND Post-stroke Depression, Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and Cognitive impairment ("DOC") are associated with greater mortality, worse recovery and poorer quality of life. Best practice recommendations endorse routine screening for each condition; yet, all are under-assessed, diagnosed and treated. We seek to determine the feasibility and validity of an integrated tool ("DOC" screen) to...

Due to the vision-impaired users commonly having difficulty with mobile-phone function operations and adaption any manufacturer's user interface design, the goals for this research are established for evaluating how to improve for them the function operation convenience and user interfaces of either mobile phones or electronic appliances in the market currently. After applying collecting back 3...

OBJECTIVES To validate a sensitive and specific screening test for AD and other dementias, assess its reliability and discriminative validity, and present normative data for its use in various applied settings. BACKGROUND To improve discrimination in screening for AD and dementia, we developed the Memory Impairment Screen (MIS), a 4-minute, four-item, delayed free- and cued-recall test of mem...
