Mitigation strategy of human tiger conflict in Leuser Ecosystem using SWOT matrix

Human and tiger conflict (HTC) has become one of the main drivers' factor decline population Sumatran (Panthera tigris sumatrae). The Leuser Ecosystem is an important landscape for habitat covering13 districts in Aceh Province 4 North Sumatra. purpose this study was to analyse HTC mitigation strategy based on internal external factors at Leuser. location chosen by purposive sampling two potential areas conflict, namely Timbang Lawan (TL) Village, Langkat Regency Panton Luas (PL) Village South Regency. These villages are directly adjacent habitat. Data collection carried out through field observations, interviews focus group discussions. Respondents experts people living areas. analysis using SWOT measure IFAS (strengths weaknesses) EFAS (opportunities threats). results show differences strategies each location. comparison values places quadrant III (WO strategy) while I (SO strategy).
