Minimal Counterexample Generation for SPIN
We propose an algorithm to compute a counter-example of minimal size to some property in a finite state program, using the same space constraints than SPIN. This algorithm uses nested breadth-first searches guided by a priority queue. It works in time O(n log n) and is linear in memory.
متن کاملProcess formation results from the imbalance between motor-mediated forces.
Several reports have suggested that neurite outgrowth is mediated by opposing forces generated on microtubules and microfilaments but the molecular basis underlying these forces have not been determined. Here, we show that in non-neuronal cell lines, the inhibition of actomyosin activity by acidic calponin promotes the formation of processes. This effect is blocked by inhibition of the motor ac...
متن کاملTime Minimal Trajectories for a Spin 1/2 Particle in a Magnetic field
In this paper we consider the minimum time population transfer problem for the z-component of the spin of a (spin 1/2) particle driven by a magnetic field, controlled along the x axis, with bounded amplitude. On the Bloch sphere (i.e. after a suitable Hopf projection), this problem can be attacked with techniques of optimal syntheses on 2-D manifolds. Let (−E,E) be the two energy levels, and |Ω...
متن کاملMinimal structure from motion representation for image geocoding
In this extended abstract we present our early work on structure from motion data compression for image geocoding. We address the advantages of image geocoding over standard trillateration solutions and identify desired characteristics for an image geocoding system such as accuracy, speed and scalability. We hypothesize that scalability impacts both speed and accuracy and should be further rese...
