Mini review: recent advances in biosurfactant-based association colloids–formation of microemulsions

In the context of a more sustainable economy, bio-surfactants become increasingly important, due to their independence petrol-based chemistry, usually mild synthesis conditions, and in certain cases pharmacological activity. We have recently discussed self-assembly studies binary systems microbial origin, or saponins extracted from plants (Hellweg et al., Frontiers Soft Matter, 2023, 2). present review, we focus on formation microemulsions based these molecules. review structure microemulsion formed by oil, water, biosurfactants, with particular Quillaja rhamnolipids.
