Milk urea concentration as a tool for optimising crude protein content in dairy goat diets: a path to sustainable milk production

چکیده
Milk urea concentration (MU) has been extensively studied and is often used to evaluate energy protein balance in dairy cattle diets, but not this extent goat diets. The aim of study was determine the relationship between MU crude content (CP) diet Alpine goats order reduce excessive nitrogen excretion from organism. For purpose, 72 were randomly divided into three equal groups (24 animals) fed a concentrate mix containing 14%, 16%, 18% CP, respectively. chemical composition milk samples determined ratio fat calculated. Statistical analysis data performed using MIXED procedure (SAS V8 software package). Increasing CP 14% 16% increased daily yield by 0.4 kg (p<0.001), 35.01 41.24 mg/100 mL (p<0.001). Based on calculated inflection point milk, range 40.00 45.00 can be considered optimal good indicator balanced for goats.

Effect of dietary crude protein concentration on milk production and nitrogen utilization in lactating dairy cows.
Forty lactating Holstein cows, including 10 with ruminal cannulas, were blocked by days in milk into 8 groups and then randomly assigned to 1 of 8 incomplete 5 x 5 Latin squares to assess the effects of 5 levels of dietary crude protein (CP) on milk production and N use. Diets contained 25% alfalfa silage, 25% corn silage, and 50% concentrate, on a dry matter (DM) basis. Rolled high-moisture sh...

Nine multiparous lactating cows averaging 171 days in milk were divided according to days in milk and milk production into three 3×3 Latin squares with three 3-week periods to investigate the effect of rumen degradable protein on milk urea nitrogen. Diets were formulated to provide 3 concentrations of dietary rumen degradable protein (9.8, 10.8, and 11.8% of dry matter), while rumen undegradabl...

The objective of the present study was to determine the effect of substitution of corn grain with dried citrus pulp (DCP) on milk composition, fatty acids profiles and blood metabolites in Holstein dairy cows. These parameters were measured in a replicated 4 × 4 latin square design experiment using eight Holstein cows. Each experimental period lasted 4 weeks. The four treatments were: control (...
متن کاملMilk Urea Nitrogen - A Nutritional Evaluation Tool?
protein nutritional status of dairy cows. Milk urea nitrogen reflects the amount of urea found in milk and these values are closely correlated with the concentration of urea found in the blood. MUN values should not be used by themselves when evaluation a herd’s feeding program but can be used in conjunction with evaluating milk production records, feeding management practices, and dry matter, ...

The study was conducted to assess the effect of milk production, parity, stage of lactation, season and individual milk components themselves on milk urea nitrogen (MUN) concentration and other milk components of 3,219 Holstein dairy cows in Korean dairy farms. The MUN concentrations in Korean dairy cows were estimated to 16.68±5.87 mg/dl. Milk yield was negatively correlated with fat and prote...
