Military Advisors, Service Strategies, and Great Power Competition

United States professional military advisors play a critical role across the spectrum of conflict within various services’ strategies in support overall National Defense Strategy. In an era great power competition, advisory forces shadow large-scale conflict, provide crucial edge for US services fulfilling their strategic role. Within each unique - Army’s multidomain operations, Marine Corps expeditionary advanced base operations nested Navy’s broader littoral contested environment, and Air Force’s forward projecting agile basing concept from force developing doctrines with conducting interoperability, providing access, building relationships allies partners key regions competition. Even so, these services, there is room maximizing utility forces’ to service strategies.
