Elderly deaths due to ground-level falls.
This study analyzed 237 fatal ground-level falls occurring in decedents aged 65 years or older reported to the Seattle-King County Medical Examiner's Office during the year 2007. Head injuries accounted for 109 (46%) of the deaths, and nonhead injuries accounted for 128 (54%) of the deaths. Falls occurred in similar locations in both groups. Low-level Radiation Harmed Humans Near Three Mile Island Wing et al. (1) analyze data from the area nearest the Three Mile Island nuclear installation, showing elevated cancer incidence rates 5 years after the 1979 accident. Wing et al. refute earlier assumptions that lowlevel radioactive emissions from the accident were too minute to produce observable effects (2). The critical analysis by Win...
متن کاملMILE: A Multi-Level Framework for Scalable Graph Embedding
Recently there has been a surge of interest in designing graph embedding methods. Few, if any, can scale to a large-sized graph with millions of nodes due to both computational complexity and memory requirements. In this paper, we relax this limitation by introducing the MultI-Level Embedding (MILE) framework – a generic methodology allowing contemporary graph embedding methods to scale to larg...

Anecdotal reports have assumed that women would be able to outrun men in long-distance running. The aim of this study was to test this assumption by investigating the changes in performance difference between sexes in the best ultramarathoners in 50-mile, 100-mile, 200-mile, 1,000-mile, and 3,100-mile events held worldwide between 1971 and 2012. The sex differences in running speed for the fast...
