چکیده
Background: Spontaneous preterm delivery, main source of perinatal morbidity and mortality. Forecasting high-probability category for premature primarily at 34 weeks, timely management to avert this gestational problem have thus been health-care challenge. Cervical length estimated by TVS foresee delivery in asymptomatic low-probability women. Methods: Prospective observational study conducted on 100 pregnant women who met inclusion exclusion criteria were choosen random. Using ultrasonography, cervical is measured they followed-up after 3-4 weeks till their gestation age mode birth weight baby, NICU admissions noted. Results: In Present study, about 47% had equal or less than 2.5 cm. About 53% more cm 35% the mother delivered Preterm 37 & 65% age. Hence estimation transvaginal sonogram has a genuinely precise sensitivity specificity expectation delivery. Conclusions: remarkable impact mortality morbidity. The use determine potential help forecast probability labor. 18 24 as standard screening strategy practical great legitimacy successful test, should be offered all

Sonographic measurement of cervical length in preterm prelabor amniorrhexis.
OBJECTIVE To determine whether sonographic measurement of cervical length in pregnancies complicated by preterm prelabor amniorrhexis helps distinguish between those women who deliver within 7 days and those who do not. METHODS In 101 women with singleton pregnancies presenting with preterm prelabor amniorrhexis at 24-36 (median, 32) weeks of gestation cervical length was measured by transvag...
متن کاملTransvaginal sonographic measurement of cervical length and the risk of spontaneous preterm birth
Transvaginal sonographic measurement of cervical length, at 20 weeks of gestation, is very useful to predict spontaneous preterm birth. A large number of studies have been performed in the attempt to detect the spontaneous preterm birth on the basis of biological, biochemical and ultrasound parameters. Transvaginal Sonography is a good tool to evaluate the cervix. This study aims to evaluate th...
متن کاملSecond trimester cervical length measurement for prediction spontaneous preterm birth in an unselected risk population
OBJECTIVE To assess the predictive capacity of cervical length (CL) measurement underwent during the second trimester ultrasound for prediction preterm birth <32, 34, and 37 weeks of gestation in an unselected risk population. METHODS A retrospective cohort study was performed with 751 singleton pregnancies between 20 and 24+6 weeks of gestation. The CL measurement (mm) using the transvaginal...
متن کاملTransvaginal sonographic measurement of cervical length to predict preterm birth in asymptomatic women at increased risk: a systematic review.
OBJECTIVES To estimate the ability of cervical length measured by transvaginal ultrasonography in asymptomatic high-risk women to predict spontaneous preterm birth. METHODS MEDLINE, PubMed, EMBASE and the Cochrane Library were searched for articles published in any language between January 1980 and July 2006, using the keywords 'transvaginal ultrasonography' or ('cervix' and ('ultrasound' or ...
متن کاملTransvaginal cervical length measurement for prediction of preterm birth in women with threatened preterm labor: a meta-analysis.
OBJECTIVES To integrate data on the performance of cervical length measurement for the prediction of preterm birth in symptomatic women. METHODS MEDLINE, SCOPUS and manual searches for studies with transvaginal ultrasound measurement of the cervical length in symptomatic women were carried out. Random effects models were used for data integration, and pooled test estimates of sensitivity, spe...
