چکیده
Aim . To evaluate the efficacy and safety of thoracoscopic hybrid techniques in patients with various forms atrial fibrillation (AF). Methods The results ablation 87 AF were analyzed: 27 (31%) paroxysmal form, 15 (17%) - persistent, 45 (52%) long-term persistent form at follow-up 18.6±6.7 months. “Box-Lesion” treatments amputation left appendage (LAA) performed 69 (79.3%) patients, “Box Lesion” without LAA 12 (13.7%). When tachycardia was recorded for more than 30 seconds after a 3-month “blind” period, underwent catheter intervention. Results Freedom from arrhythmias group achieved 84% (21 25), 60% (9 15), 78% (32 41) given observation period. In structure postoperative tachycardia, recurrence 5 (6.25%), typical flutter (AFL) 3 (3.75%), atypical AFL 10 (12.5%). mean LA volume index stable sinus rhythm 64.6±11.3 ml/m2 versus 74.65±15.4 (Student’s t-test 0.53, p = 0.6). These At period 15.9±10.9 months, maintained (83.3%) patients. overall rate intra- complications 5.7%. Conclusion Thoracoscopic approaches are effective methods treatment.

Hybrid thoracoscopic and transvenous catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation.
The hybrid approach combines an epicardial ablation with a percutaneous endocardial ablation in a single-step or sequential procedure. This study provides an overview of the hybrid procedure for the treatment of stand-alone atrial fibrillation (AF). Papers selected for this review were identified on PubMed and the final selection included nine studies. The total number of patients was 335 (rang...

OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility, safety, and clinical outcomes up to 1 year in patients undergoing combined simultaneous thoracoscopic surgical and transvenous catheter atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation. BACKGROUND The combination of the transvenous endocardial approach with the thoracoscopic epicardial approach in a single AF ablation procedure overcomes ...
متن کاملLaser Ablation Of Atrial Fibrillation: Mid-term Clinical Experience.
Background: Atrial Fibrillation is known to account for one third of all the strokes caused in the US in the population above the age of 70. Patients treated with the surgical Cox MAZE operation have been shown to have a 150 fold decrease in the incidence of stroke over an 18 year period. However, the original Cox MAZE although extremely successful in treating atrial fibrillation and decreasing...

Natural history and long-term outcomes of ablated atrial fibrillation.
BACKGROUND Atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation is increasingly used in clinical practice. We aimed to study the natural history and long-term outcomes of ablated AF. METHODS AND RESULTS We followed 831 patients after pulmonary vein isolation (PVI) performed in 2005. We documented clinical outcomes using our prospective AF registry with most recent update on this group of patients in October 200...
