Microwave-assisted synthesis of benzo[b]phosphole oxide derivatives by oxidative addition of acetylenes and secondary phosphine oxides or alkyl phenyl-H-phosphinates

A new and practical microwave (MW)-assisted method was developed for the fast efficient oxidative addition of secondary phosphine oxides or alkyl phenyl-H-phosphinates acetylenes. The reaction optimized in respect agent, time, temperature molar ratio starting materials. protocol enabled synthesis novel benzo[b]phosphole oxide derivatives under mild conditions a short time. By use special reagents, such as ethyl phenylpropiolate, reactive groups (phosphinic acid ester carboxylic ester) could be integrated into benzophosphole skeleton, which may further functionalized towards various synthetic directions, therefore, fine-tuning optical properties target molecules. crystal structure derivative investigated by X-Ray diffraction, gave structural information about compound its molecular interactions crystal.

Copper-catalyzed addition of H-phosphine oxides to alkynes forming alkenylphosphine oxides.
We have developed efficient copper-catalyzed additions of P(O)H compounds to alkynes, and the reactions provided the regio- and stereoselective E-alkenylphosphine oxides under catalysis of the commercially available and inexpensive copper catalyst system CuI/ethylenediamine. This finding is the first example of copper-catalyzed hydrophosphinylation of alkynes to synthesize alkenylphosphine oxides.
