چکیده
In the present article doping of aluminide coatings by Pt/Pd as well Hf or Pd using industrial processes was developed. The different combinations elements were tested their influence on chemical composition initially investigated. Pt and both + electroplated surface MAR M247 nickel superalloy. Zr doped during low activity CVD aluminizing process Bernex BPX Pro 325S system. conducted research showed that formed (Ni, Pd, Pt) Al solid solution in outer additive layer. higher concentration palladium near whole layer detected. platinum presented below coating. detected mainly diffusion zone. (about 0.1 wt.%) zone observed. hafnium but a small this element measured. obtained results formation three (Pd, modified coating proposed technology is possible. structure all typical for low-activity, high temperature (LAHT) outward Ni from base material.

Microstructure and Properties of Iron Aluminide Coatings
Corrosion-resistant coatings based on the iron aluminide intermetallic compound Fe3Al are currently being investigated for fossil energy applications. Fe3Al possesses excellent intrinsic high-temperature oxidation and sulfidation resistance, and a significant effort has been made in the development of bulk alloys based on it. While substantial progress has been made, the widespread use of these...
متن کاملPreparation and Isothermal Oxidation Behavior of Zr-Doped, Pt-Modified Aluminide Coating Prepared by a Hybrid Process
To take advantage of the synergistic effects of Pt and Zr, a kind of Zr-doped, Pt-modified aluminide coating has been prepared by a hybrid process, first electroplating a Pt layer and then co-depositing Zr and Al elements by an above-the-pack process. The microstructure and isothermal oxidation behavior of the coating has been studied, using a Pt-modified aluminide coating as a reference. Resul...
متن کاملOxidation behaviour of simple and Pt-modified aluminide coatings on IN738 at 1100 °C
The oxidation of both low and high-activity simple and Pt-modified aluminide coatings on nickel base superalloy IN738 has been studied in static air at 1100 OC up to 1000 h. For all coatings oxidation followed a parabolic law up to 400 h. The two Pt-modified coatings showed better protectiveness with lower mass gains and smaller rate constants, especially for long reaction times. The presence o...
متن کاملAluminide Coatings for Power Generation Applications
In order to form model aluminide coatings for studying critical issues related to their high temperature oxidation and corrosion performance, a laboratory chemical vapor deposition (CVD) procedure is being used to more rigorously control the coating process in terms of composition, purity and microstructure. One ferritic (Fe-9Cr1Mo) and one austenitic alloy (304L) were selected as substrate mat...
متن کاملIon Exchange Column Performance Model for Separation of Zr(IV) and Hf(IV) in Elution Process
A mathematical model of sorption of Zirconium and Hafnium cations mixture and elution of these ions from a cation exchange resin bed is developed. Sulfuric acid is selected as the eluent for selective separation of Zr and Hf in a packed bed of Dowex cation exchange resin. The column model is a dispersed plug flow model, and assumed to consist of randomly packed synthetic and spherical resin ...
