چکیده

The oil and gas production has grown steadily, the care with its transportation grid needs to be maintained expanded. pipeline used in transport of by-product requires materials high mechanical strength, toughness, fatigue resistance. chemical composition distribution, amount, morphology final microconstituents steel are paramount importance once it will directly influence properties. fracture toughness is one most important properties for suitability usage, literature pipelines study does not present tests such as crack tip opening displacement (CTOD), a steady controlled growth behavior, evaluate toughness. This compares API 5L X70 between two plates different Nb content, 0.06 0.09 wt.% by CTOD tests. response was correlated grain size distribution. parameter assess at 25 °C ? 60 °C. microstructures were similar. matrices composed ferrite, bands secondary products, including degenerated pearlite. Results showed prone formation bimodal microstructure, coarse fine grains, due addition Nb. High-Nb presented better than normal-Nb low-temperature.

Investigation of microstructure and mechanical properties of low carbon steel sheets after severe plastic deformation in corrugation dies

Recently, bulk nano-structured materials produced by severe plastic deformation (SPD) have attracted scientists attention.  Materials produced by SPD are of great importance because of (1) non-porous structure, (2) great mechanical properties such as high strength and toughness and (3) proper dimension for mechanical and physical testing.  Several methods have been introduced for imposing the s...

Heat treatment and mechanical properties of low-carbon steel with dual-phase microstructure

Purpose: The aim of the paper is to design heat treatment conditions of dual-phase steel and to determine their influence on the structure and mechanical properties of steel. Design/methodology/approach: The heat treatment of the C-Mn steel in order to obtain a dual-phase ferritic – martensitic structure of desirable phase fractions was realized. To investigate the influence of heat treatment p...

Evaluation of microstructure and mechanical properties of 410NiMo as an overlay layer on low alloy steel

The aim of this study is to reach an increased service life for parts using in sour environment by weld overlaying process. In this investigation, two successive layers of ER410NiMo were clad on low alloy steel substrates. To reduce the likelihood of Hydrogen Induced Cracking (HIC) and producing stable hydrogen traps, Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) was conducted. Microstructural analysis, X-ra...
