چکیده

Purpose: To study the possible anti-cancer effects of miR-744 on human gastric cancer cells, and underlying mechanism.
Methods: The mRNA expression was determined using qRT-PCR, while CCK-8, Annexin V/PI acridine orange assays were used to determine cell viability, apoptosis autophagy, respectively. expressions target proteins qRT-PCR Immunoblotting.
Results: Significant suppressions observed in tissues lines. Overexpression inhibited proliferation silencing promoted cells. Furthermore, tumor-suppressive effect due induction autophagy. Heparanase-1 (HPSE-1) identified as miR-744. Silencing HSPE-1 significantly proliferation, whereas its overexpression restored growth-inhibitory (p < 0.05).
Conclusion: These results indicate that exerts a growth cells vitro by targeting HPSE-1. There is need further animal models.

MicroRNA-101 induces apoptosis in cisplatin-resistant gastric cancer cells by targeting VEGF-C.

Deregulation of microRNAs (miRNAs) is known to be associated with drug resistance in human cancers. However, the precise role of miR‑101 in the cisplatin (DPP) resistance of human gastric cancer cells has not been elucidated, yet. The present study revealed that miR‑101 was markedly downregulated in gastric cancer cell lines compared to that in the normal gastric mucosa epithelial cell line GES...

microRNA-372 inhibits proliferation and induces apoptosis in human breast cancer cells by directly targeting E2F1

Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer and the leading cause of cancer‑associated mortalities among women worldwide today. Accumulating evidence suggested that miR‑372 may serve important roles in the initiation and development of various human cancers. However, the role of miR‑372 in breast cancer remains unknown. The present study demonstrated that the expression level of miR‑372 in human...

MicroRNA-34a regulates proliferation and apoptosis of gastric cancer cells by targeting silent information regulator 1

The present study aimed to identify whether microRNA (miRNA/miR)-34a regulates the proliferation and apoptosis of gastric cancer cells by targeting silent information regulator 1 (SIRT1). The expression of miR-34a and SIRT1 and cell viability was investigated in gastric cancer cells. Reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) was applied to determine miR-34a expressi...

MicroRNA-146a promotes gastric cancer cell apoptosis by targeting transforming growth factor β-activated kinase 1

Accumulating evidence suggests that microRNA (miR)-146a functions as an oncogene or tumor suppressor in various cancers. However, the role of miR‑146a in gastric cancer (GC) remains to be elucidated. The present study investigated the function of miR‑146a in GC cells. The results of the present study revealed that miR‑146a modulates GC cell apoptosis. Overexpression of miR‑146a significantly in...

MicroRNA-320 inhibits invasion and induces apoptosis by targeting CRKL and inhibiting ERK and AKT signaling in gastric cancer cells

MicroRNA-320 (miR-320) downregulation has been reported in several human cancers. Until now, its expression pattern and biological roles in human cancer remain unknown. This study aims to clarify its clinical expression pattern and biological function in gastric cancers. We found miR-320 level was downregulated in gastric cancer tissues. miR-320 mimic was transfected in SGC-7901 cells with low ...
