چکیده
Abstract Microdebris contamination of marine organism has become a major concern. As detritivore, Tripneustes gratilla also the opportunity to be contaminated. This study aims determine microdebris in T. , including form and size microdebris. research was conducted at three islands, i.e. Barrang Lompo, Badi, Kondong Bali. Ten individuals were collected from each island. The digestive tract spesies taken, then H2O2 added dissolve organic matter. Flotation carried out by adding NaCl. observed using stereo microscope, selected particle analysed FT-IR Microscope. abundance ranged 3.4 14.8 particles/individual. Badi Island showed highest levels, contained Fiber fragment found all samples. most common consisted more than half total island, except Lompo. 0.05-1mm, accounted for 36% Microscope identified as cotton. Our results suggest that pollution have contaminated Spermonde archipelago.

A Gram-stain-positive, aerobic, non-motile, rod-shaped, yellow-pigment-producing bacterium, (designated strain CC-CZW004T), was isolated from seafood samples (sea urchins) at Penghu Island in Taiwan. Strain CC-CZW004T grew optimally at pH 7.0 and 30 °C in the presence of 3 % (w/v) NaCl. Phylogenetic analyses based on 16S rRNA genes revealed a distinct taxonomic position attained by strain CC-CZ...

متن کاملSediment Composition and Facies of Coral Reef Islands in the Spermonde Archipelago, Indonesia
Sedimentological and geomorphological characteristics of coral reef islands are strongly related to past and recent boundary conditions such as the hydrodynamic regime, wind directions, sea-level fluctuations, and the ecological footprint of the surrounding reef complexes. Alterations in the physical, chemical, and biological boundary controls may affect the stability of reef islands. Additiona...
