چکیده
Abstract Background This study aimed to evaluate the effects of different pretreatment methods on microbial yield from infectious tissues. Methods Strains Staphylococcus aureus (SA), Escherichia coli (EC) and Candida albicans (CA) were used construct single-surface, full-surface, internal infection models in sterile pork tissue. Manual milling (MM), mechanical homogenization (MH), sonificated (SF), dithiothreitol (DTT), direct culture (DC) pretreat these tissues, recorded compared. Moreover, periprosthetic tissues collected intraoperatively joint (PJI) patients as a verification. Results The showed that MH was significantly higher than MM ( P < 0.01) SF method 0.01). Furthermore, model, group also 0.01), DTT DC number bacterial colonies obtained pretreated by other = 0.004). Conclusions DC, MM, can be process multiple tissue samples at same time, which might further improve diagnostic sensitivity disease.

Cell membrane damage by iron nanoparticles: an invitro study
Application of nanotechnology in medicinal and biological fields has attracted a great interest in the recent yeras. In this paper the cell membrane leakage induced by iron nanoparticles (Fe-NP) against PC12 cell line which is known as a model of nervous system cell line was investigated by the lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) test. Therefore, PC12 cells were incubated with different concentration o...
متن کاملCell dispersal methods for increasing yield from animal tissues.
An improved method for increasing cell yield from animal tissues is described. The current technique differs from the classical, primarily in that the tissues were perfused with trypsin in situ and cell dispersal was completed by trypsinization either at 4 or 37 C but without prior mincing of the tissue. Increased yields of 75% were obtained. Mechanical damage to tissue by mincing was presumed ...

AIM The present study was to evaluate the space provided for the temporary luting cement, after the application of various coats of die spacers, during the fabrication of provisional crowns and bridges. MATERIALS AND METHODS A total of 50 specimens of dental stone with provisional crowns on all these samples were prepared and were divided into five groups based on the application of various c...
