Micro-optical elements with arbitrary surfaces
We present a comparison of three different technologies for the fabrication of microoptical elements with arbitrary surfaces. We used direct laser writing, binary mask lithography in combination with reactive ion etching, and graytone lithography.
متن کاملSpatial and spectral information in optical mammography.
This article reviews our research activities in the area of optical mammography and relates them to the historical developments and the current state and trends in the field. The guiding threads for this article are the roles played in optical mammography by spatial and spectral information. The first feature, spatial information, is limited by the diffusive nature of light propagation but can ...
متن کاملRefractive and diffractive properties of planar micro-optical elements.
The refractive and the diffractive properties of planar micro-optical elements are investigated. The transition between purely refractive and purely diffractive planar microlenses is numerically simulated for the example of differently designed phase-matched Fresnel elements. Results obtained from numerical simulations and experiments show that the refractive and diffractive types exhibit a dis...
متن کاملWood's anomalies and spectral uniformity of focusing diffractive optical elements.
We report on simulations and measurements of focusing diffractive optical elements, fabricated as two-level binary optics. The diffractive optical elements are designed to separate and focus four specific wavelengths in the infrared. The simulations are based on a local linear grating model, and predict anomalies similar to Wood's anomalies known from grating diffraction theory. The anomalies a...
متن کاملNonparametric Spectral-Spatial Anomaly Detection
Due to abundant spectral information contained in the hyperspectral images, they are suitable data for anomalous targets detection. The use of spatial features in addition to spectral ones can improve the anomaly detection performance. An anomaly detector, called nonparametric spectral-spatial detector (NSSD), is proposed in this work which utilizes the benefits of spatial features and local st...
