Methionine plus Cystine Levels for Light Laying Hens on Production Phase

The objective of this study was to evaluate the levels sulfur amino acids in diets laying hens 34-50 weeks age. 336 Dekalb White birds were distributed a completely randomized design with six treatments, 14 replicates four each. consisted control treatment, formulated meet nutritional requirements according NRC (1994) and five varying methionine plus cystine level (0.536, 0.603, 0.670, 0.737, 0.804%). Performance, egg quality histological data evaluated. There significant quadratic effect for production mass dozen conversion per eggs, estimations 0.691%, 0.689%, 0.737% 0.730%, respectively. Methionine significantly affected histology tissues. digestible cystine, 90% cystine: lysine ratio, 756.53 mg/bird/day consumption, is recommended light phase.
