Meshless simulation of a macrosegregation benchmark considering the solid motion

چکیده

Abstract We have extended the existing two-dimensional rigid solid phase benchmark for binary substance with motion in present paper. Incompressible laminar Newtonian flow is assumed, and a standard mixture formulation used mass, momentum, energy, solute transport. A coherency model accounts free-floating grains, assuming that velocity proportional to liquid fraction. The lever rule describe mass fractions of phases. solved using semi-implicit meshless diffuse approximate method an adaptive subdomain upwinding strategy. results are compared finite volume reasonable agreement. new show has essential effect on macrosegregation pattern.
