چکیده

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a major health problem worldwide, with increasing incidence and prevalence. While the of CKD in children relatively low, contributes to problems has many long-term effects.1 characterized by gradual decline function over time. The Kidney Disease Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) report defined as an abnormality renal structure or decreased glomerular filtration rate (GFR) that lasts more than three months. classified into 5 stages based on GFR value.2 Patients stage V transition from progressive irreversible, terminal, end-stage (ESKD). To date, standard ESKD management been replacement therapy, consisting hemodialysis (HD), peritoneal dialysis (PD), and/or transplantation. Complexity cost care have obvious consequences availability therapy for children, especially developing countries. Dialysis provides only partial functions, clearance fluid balance, but does not cure disease. transplantation curative management, donor pediatric patients remains challenging

Utility of Modeling End-Stage Liver Disease in Children with Chronic Liver Disease

Introduction: Chronic liver diseases consist of wide spectrum disorders that may be complicated by cirrhosis and therefore need to transplantation. The pediatric end-stage liver disease (PELD) score and model of end-stage liver disease (MELD) score has been used as predictors of mortality chronic liver diseases listed for liver transplantation. The aim of this study is evaluation of relation be...

P 141: Mesenchymal Stem Cells as Treatment in Neuroinflammatory Disease

Mesenchymal stem cells can be obtained from deferent tissues like adipose tissue, umbilical cord, placenta, skin, bone marrow, etc. These cells have regulatory effects on all types of immune cells such as dendritic cell, natural killers and lymphocytes. Mesenchymal stem cells induce inhibitory phenotypes of Antigen Presenting Cells (APCs) following their activity. They also change T cells pheno...

Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis and end-stage kidney disease in children

Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is one of the principal causes of end-stage kidney disease in children worldwide (1-3). During the past decades, different genes mutations have been implicated in pathogenesis of resistant sporadic and hereditary familial forms of FSGS. Nephrin, podocin, alpha-actinin 4 (ACTN4) are some of podocyte structural proteins that their role in pathogenesis of ...

Mesenchymal Stem Cells with Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor Reduce Stress Oxidative Factors in Parkinson\'s Disease

Background: Recent studies have shown that bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) have a putative ability to promote neurogenesis and produce behavioral and functional improvement. Our previous study demonstrated that co-treatment of granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) and BMSCs have beneficial effects on Parkinson's models. The main purpose of this research was to investigate the...

Ischemic Heart Disease in Patients with End-Stage Kidney Disease.

BACKGROUND It was recently reported that the severity of coronary and carotid atherosclerosis in patients with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) has improved over the last two decades. However, the frequency of coronary artery events observed at the initiation of dialysis remains high. SUMMARY Recently, 5 different clinical types of acute myocardial infarction (MI) were introduced in the third ...
