Mental work ability: young professionals with mental health problems perceive lower levels of soft skills

Abstract This article published in Gruppe Interaktion Organisation (GIO) reports study results on soft skills and mental work ability young professionals ready to enter the job market. The so-called (psychological capacities) are nowadays an entrance ticket into modern working world. Thus, question is which degree who will soon labor market fit their skills. Are physical or health problems related with deficits skills? Which dimensions of impaired? 365 advanced education from a technical college, market, were investigated via online-questionnaire. Participants asked rate self-perceived capacity level according Mini-ICF-APP, problems, exam education-related anxiety, self-efficacy procrastination. Students had higher lower study-related as compared students without at all, problems. But, procrastination behavior was similarly present among did not report globally weaker levels. Lower levels capacities depend type problem: In social impaired rather than content-related capacities. Physical do affect psychological conclusion, focusing specific training adjustment could be fruitful addition (or alternative) profession-specific expertise.
