Mental Illness and Addiction: Lessons from the County Hospital Inpatient Psychiatric Ward

چکیده

There is often a stark difference in how people interpret their first exposures to physical illness versus mental and addiction medicine. Many times, there tendency sympathize with but separate ourselves from addiction. I’ve slowly learned see myself each of my patients, regardless diagnosis. In this experience article, I describe what it like interact care for psychiatric patients thoughts on changed during inpatient rotation.
