چکیده

Comprehensive Summary Two‐electron reduction of [N 2 NBn]Ti IV Cl ( 3 ) gave a highly reactive N]Ti II species, which underwent C—O bond activation THF (tetrahydrofuran) to generate [O(CH 4 ] through oxidative addition. The resulted Ti –C sp in oxametallacyclohexane was tantamount the elaborately‐designed Ti‐alkyl complexes, competent activate intramolecular C –H bond, forming ortho ‐cyclometalated complex NCH 6 H ]Ti (O n Bu) 5 ). Key intermediates were isolated and fully characterized by X‐ray crystallography. Mechanistic studies revealed that addition took place at ‐center via radical intermediate, while proceeded σ‐bond metathesis with kitelike four‐centered ‐transition state.

Studies on activation of H3 histamine receptor: a mechanistic model.

The recognition and the activation mechanism of the H3 histamine receptor was studied based on quantum-chemical calculations. A mechanistic model proposed both for recognition and activation stage clarifies different properties of histamine and alpha-methylhistamine at the H3 receptor. Interaction with a hypothetical receptor sites leads to the opening of the intramolecular hydrogen bonding in ...

Mechanistic studies of the mitotic activation of Mos.

The protein kinase Mos is responsible for the activation of MEK1 and p42 mitogen-activated protein kinase during Xenopus oocyte maturation and during mitosis in Xenopus egg extracts. Here we show that the activation of Mos depends upon the phosphorylation of Ser 3, a residue previously implicated in the regulation of Mos stability; the dephosphorylation of Ser 105, a previously unidentified pho...

Shielding studies on a total-body neutron activation facility

Background: Prompt gamma neutron activation analysis (PGNAA) is known as a non-invasive technique capable of measuring elemental concentration in voluminous samples in a short period of time. Also it is a valuable diagnostic tool for total body elemental measurements. 252Cf and 241Am-Be sources which are usually used in this method, generate not only neutrons, but also emit high-energy and unwa...

Mechanistic studies on fatty acyl-CoA dehydrogenase.

It has previously been shown that the "partial" reaction between fatty acyl-CoA dehydrogenase and acyl-CoA substrate is pH-dependent (larger rate constants at basic pH) and shows a biphasic rate profile indicative of formation of an initial charge transfer complex between the C-2 anion of substrate and enzyme. The present investigation indicates that the complete reaction between acyl-CoA and e...

Platinum-oxygen Bond Formation: Kinetic and Mechanistic Studies

Reaction of [PtMe(C^N)(SMe2)] (C^N = 2-phenylpyridinate (ppy); 1a, C^N = benzo[h]quinolate, (bhq); 1b) with hydrogen peroxide gives the platinum(IV) complexes trans-[PtMe(OH)2(C^N)(H2O)] (C^N = ppy; 3a, C^N = bhq, 3b) bearing platinum-oxygen bonds. The Pt(II) complexes 1a and 1b have 5dπ(Pt)→π*(C^N) MLCT band in the visible region which is used to easily follow the kinetic of its reaction with ...
