چکیده
The nuclear industry and other high-radiation environments often need remote monitoring equipment with advanced cameras to achieve precise control operations. CMOS image sensors, as a critical component of these cameras, get exposed γ-ray irradiation while operating in such environments, which causes performance degradation that adversely affects camera resolution. This study conducted total ionizing dose experiments on sensors systems thoroughly analyzed the impact mechanisms dark current, Full Well Capacity, quantum efficiency A quantitative evaluation formula was established evaluate Capacity sensor provides theoretical basis for radiation resistance strong development radiation-resistant cameras.

Total Dose Effects on CMOS Active Pixel Sensors
Co irradiations have been carried out on test structures for the development of CMOS Active Pixel Sensors (APS) that can be used in a radiation environment. The basic mechanisms that may cause failure are presented. Ionization induced damage effects such as field leakage currents and dark current increase are discussed in detail. Two different approaches to overcome these problems are considere...

متن کاملDesign and Characterization of Ionizing Radiation-Tolerant CMOS APS Image Sensors up to 30 Mrd (Si) Total Dose
An ionizing radiation-tolerant CMOS active pixel sensor (APS) image sensor test chip was designed employing the physical design techniques of enclosed geometry and -channel guard rings. The test chip was fabricated in a standard 0.35m CMOS process that has a gate-oxide thickness of 7.0 nm. It was irradiated by a -ray source up to a total ionizing radiation dose level of approximately 30 Mrd (Si...

Implantable image sensors have several biomedical applications due to their miniature size, light weight, and low power consumption achieved through sub-micron standard CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) technologies. The main applications are in specific cell labeling, neural activity detection, and biomedical imaging. In this paper the recent research studies on implantable CMOS i...
متن کاملOn chip Gaussian processing for high resolution CMOS image sensors
Spatial image processing chips, known as silicon retinas, are based on the architecture of vertebrate retina and can be mathematically represented as the Laplacian of Gaussian (LOG) and Difference of Gaussian (DOG). In this paper, attention has been paid on implementing a retina function through the LOG model. Previous implementations have used a hexagonal resistive mesh within the pixel array,...
