Mechanism Analysis of Vascular Calcification Based on Fluid Dynamics

چکیده
Vascular calcification is the abnormal deposition of calcium phosphate complexes in blood vessels, which regarded as pathological basis multiple cardiovascular diseases. The flowing exerts a frictional force called shear stress on vascular wall. Blood vessels have different hydrodynamic properties due to discrepancies geometric and mechanical properties. disturbance flow bending area branch point arterial tree produces lower than physiological magnitude laminar stress, can induce occurrence calcification. Endothelial cells sense fluid dynamics transmit electrical chemical signals full-thickness vessels. Through crosstalk with endothelial cells, smooth muscle trigger osteogenic transformation, involved mediating intima media In addition, based detection parameters, emerging imaging technologies such 4D Flow MRI computational greatly improved early diagnosis ability diseases, showing extremely high clinical application prospects.

Mechanism of vascular calcification
In the early 1900s, cholesterol deposition in atherosclerosis was considered a passive, degenerative, inevitable and end-stage process of ageing. After decades of research, it is now recognized as an active, regulated, treatable and preventable disorder related to deposition and oxidation of lipoprotein components. Similarly, in the past few decades, vascular calcification also has been conside...
متن کاملEstrogen inhibits vascular calcification via vascular RANKL system: common mechanism of osteoporosis and vascular calcification.
RATIONALE Arterial calcification and osteoporosis are associated in postmenopausal women. RANK (the receptor activator of nuclear factor kappaB), RANKL (RANK ligand), and osteoprotegerin are key proteins in bone metabolism and have been found at the site of aortic calcification. The role of these proteins in vasculature, as well as the contribution of estrogen to vascular calcification, is poor...
متن کاملVascular Adventitia Calcification and Its Underlying Mechanism
Previous research on vascular calcification has mainly focused on the vascular intima and media. However, we show here that vascular calcification may also occur in the adventitia. The purpose of this work is to help elucidate the pathogenic mechanisms underlying vascular calcification. The calcified lesions were examined by Von Kossa staining in ApoE-/- mice which were fed high fat diets (HFD)...
متن کاملQuantitative analysis of vascular calcification
Vascular calcification is a prominent feature of atherosclerosis. The mineral composition and quantity within calcified arterial plaques remains unelucidated; therefore, the aim of this study was to analyze the mineral composition of such plaques. Calcified arterial plaques were obtained from patients with abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs) and carotid artery stenoses. Calcified aneurysmal plaqu...
متن کاملfabrication of new ion sensitive field effect transistors (isfet) based on modification of junction-fet for analysis of hydronium, potassium and hydrazinium ions
a novel and ultra low cost isfet electrode and measurement system was designed for isfet application and detection of hydronium, hydrazinium and potassium ions. also, a measuring setup containing appropriate circuits, suitable analyzer (advantech board), de noise reduction elements, cooling system and pc was used for controlling the isfet electrode and various characteristic measurements. the t...
