Mechanism Analysis and Potential Solutions for Casing Deformation of Shale GAS Fracturing Wells in Sichuan Basin

Casing deformation caused by fault and fracture sliding derived from fracturing has attracted growing attention. frequently occurs during the hydraulic process in Sichuan Basin. Although its mechanism been intensively studied, this issue is becoming increasingly severe demands immediate solutions, especially shale gas blocks of Changning-Weiyuan-Zhaotong. The present study summarizes analyzes research progress relevant to casing based on existing literature. It shown that rate deflection point horizontal well much higher than other places shear dominant form. main factors influencing wells include weakened strength collapsing casing, geological factors, cement, cement quality sheath, engineering factor, etc. We propose reduce optimizing trajectory, improving cementing or operation. In addition, a hierarchical relationship between also provided. However, mechanisms some forms need be further exploitation must solved urgently.
