Mechanical flexible epoxy resins with 100% bio?based carbon content based on epoxidized vegetable oils

چکیده

This work describes the development and characterization of mechanical flexible epoxy resins based on epoxidized vegetable oils (EVO) sebacic acid. Different oil types (linseed oil, hempseed soybean oil) with varying equivalent weight (EEW) were used. Formulation processing parameters systematically optimized by differential scanning calorimetry Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. The effect EVO type EEW thermo-mechanical properties investigated dynamic analysis tensile tests at different temperatures. had a strong resin. However, for commercial linseed oils, no these properties. With highest Tg best (highest strength toughness) achieved.

Epoxidized vegetable oils plasticized poly(lactic acid) biocomposites: mechanical, thermal and morphology properties.

Plasticized poly(lactic acid) PLA with epoxidized vegetable oils (EVO) were prepared using a melt blending method to improve the ductility of PLA. The plasticization of the PLA with EVO lowers the Tg as well as cold-crystallization temperature. The tensile properties demonstrated that the addition of EVO to PLA led to an increase of elongation at break, but a decrease of tensile modulus. Plasti...

Epoxy Resins Toughened with Surface Modified Epoxidized Natural Rubber Fibers by One-Step Electrospinning

Epoxidized natural rubber fibers (ERFs) are developed through one-step electrospinning and directly deposited into epoxy resins without collecting and distributing of fibers. The shape of ERFs shows rough surface due to different evaporation rate of solvent mixture consisting of chloroform and dichloromethane and the average diameter of ERFs is 6.2 µm. The increase of ERFs loading from 0 to 20 ...

Flexible Radar Absorbing Nanocomposites Based on Co-ferrite/Nano Carbon/polymeric epoxy resin

In this research work cobalt-ferrite (CoFe2O4) nanoparticles were synthesized by a simple, general sol-gel auto-combustion method. For this study, electromagnetic (EM) wave absorbing coatings with different weight fractions of nano-carbon and CoFe2O4 (which, arises from both dielectric and magnetic contributions) and polymeric epoxy resin were prepared and their characteristics were fully inves...

Biodegradation Behavior of Some Vegetable Oil-based Polymers

The potential biodegradability of several vegetable oil-based polymers was assessed by respirometry in soil for 60–100 days at temperatures of 30–58 C. Films of soybean oil and linseed oil which were oxidatively polymerized (Co catalyst) on a kraft paper support were 90%–100% mineralized to CO2 after 70 days at 30 C. Mineralization of polymerized tung oil to CO2 was much slower than soy or lins...
