چکیده
Abstract The scarcity of high-purity limestone subjects the cement industry to consider alternative supplementary cementitious materials for production. This research aimed investigate mechanical properties and hydration kinetics pastes in presence high levels different fineness dolomite, especially formation thaumasite. A dolomite filler with 20% magnesium oxide, average diameters 10 µm, 6 µm 4 was used as a partial replacement Portland at 0%, 15% 35% cured 5 ºC 20 ºC. results compressive strength showed similarities all analyzed, but significant difference between strengths obtained. isothermal calorimetry indicated that had nucleation dilution effect. thermogravimetry revealed dependent substitution levels, presented differences amount ettringite carbonate phases. mineralogical analysis detected thaumasite only temperature ºC, which this mineral can also form higher temperatures than those reported literature. Finally, we conclude positively about possibility using matrices up 35%, regardless curing temperature.

Hydration Kinetics Model of Supersulfated Cement
Supersulfated cement, with higher waste utilization and less cement clinker is the inevitable trend of the development of green material in the rapid developed industrial era. For the wide use of supersulfated cement in our country, the hydration heat is analyzed in this paper. The hydration kinetic parameters are obtained from the hydration heat and hydration heat rate curves measured by the i...

Degree of hydration (DOH) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurements are used to characterize the effect of early exposure to a 90% relative humidity (RH) environment on cement paste hydration. Early exposure to a 90% RH environment can lead t9 the consumption of freezable water and altered microstructural development. The minimum duration of 100% RHcuring required to eliminate th...

Microstructure development and the kinetics of hydration of pure tricalcium silicate (C3S) and CaCl2-accelerated C3S pastes were investigated by performing isothermal calorimetry and in situ small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) measurements on parallel specimens during the first few days of hydration, as well as on 28-day old specimens hydrated under the same curing conditions (water/cement ra...
متن کاملEffects of Mud from a Zinc-plating Plant and Zeolite Saturated with Zinc on Portland Cement Hydration and Properties of Hardened Cement Pastes
This work investigates the impact of mud from a zinc-plating plant and zeolite saturated with zinc on early hydration processes of ordinary Portland cement. During the first 48 hours of hydration, the addition of mud significantly affects the cement hydration kinetics. The partial replacement of cement with zeolite saturated with zinc ions, reduces the negative impact of mud on the hydration pr...
