Mechanical Behaviors and Acoustic Emission Fractal Characteristics of Bump-Prone Coal under Different Loading Rates

Coal and rock dynamic disasters occur frequently in deep coal mining. The loading rate affects the mechanical properties behaviors. Uniaxial compression acoustic emission (AE) tests of bump-prone under various rates were carried out, properties, AE spatiotemporal evolution, spatial fractal characteristics analyzed. experimental results indicate that uniaxial compressive strength is positively related to rate, elastic modulus increases before decreasing with rate. failure strain percentage compaction phase relative pre-peak decreases hit absolute energy, events, amplitude evolution samples are same, maximum energy events showing a “slow increase → slow fast rapid increase” trend. dimension ranges from 2.1 2.9, exhibiting downward
