Mechanical behavior of concrete containing recycled aggregates

چکیده
Increased demand and decreased supply of aggregates for concrete production necessitate the search new aggregate sources. Environmental features are increasingly being used to evaluate construction materials. Concrete recycling is becoming more popular since it conserves natural resources reduces need disposal by using readily available as a source fresh concrete. Several studies on influence recycled engineering qualities have been conducted. This investigation was carried out use form modification. Low Cycle Fatigue Behavior of Concrete with Recycled Concrete Aggregates
A comparison of concrete containing recycled concrete coarse aggregates and natural coarse aggregates subjected to high strain, low cycle compressive fatigue is presented. Using a strain based feedback control loop, concrete cylinders are compressed at 15µε/s to a specified strain then unloaded to zero stress for 10 cycles. After cycling, all samples are loaded to a strain of 0.008. Direct conc...
متن کاملBonding Behavior of Deformed Steel Rebars in Sustainable Concrete Containing both Fine and Coarse Recycled Aggregates
In order to assess the bond behavior of deformed steel rebars in recycled-aggregate concrete (RAC) incorporating both fine and coarse recycled aggregate, pull-out tests were carried out in this study on 16-mm diameter deformed steel rebars embedded concentrically in RAC. The concrete was designed using equivalently mixed proportions of both recycled coarse aggregate and recycled fine aggregate....
متن کاملCyclic Behavior of Low Rise Concrete Shear Walls Containing Recycled Coarse and Fine Aggregates
In this study, the cyclic behaviors of low rise concrete shear walls using recycled coarse or fine aggregates were investigated. Eight low rise Recycled Aggregates Concrete (RAC) shear wall specimens were designed and tested under a cyclic loading. The following parameters were varied: replacement percentages of recycled coarse or fine aggregates, reinforcement ratio, axial force ratio and X-sh...
متن کاملPerformance of High-strength Concrete Made with Recycled Ceramic Aggregates
Recent scientific concerns to achieve sustainability in construction have suggested the implementation of using recycled aggregate in concrete because it has the potential to reduce the demand for extraction of natural raw materials and decrease the volume of wastes landfilled. In this respect, this study aims to investigate the suitability of using ceramic tile (CT) and ceramic sanitary (CS) w...
متن کاملMechanical and Physical Properties of Polyester Polymer Concrete Using Recycled Aggregates from Concrete Sleepers
Currently, reuse of solid waste from disused infrastructures is an important environmental issue to study. In this research, polymer concrete was developed by mixing orthophthalic unsaturated polyester resin, artificial microfillers (calcium carbonate), and waste aggregates (basalt and limestone) coming from the recycling process of concrete sleepers. The variation of the mechanical and physica...
