Measuring the Whole Wall Thickness of the Common Femoral Vein as a Distinctive Diagnostic Tool to Distinguish Behçet’s Disease Presenting with Oral Ulcers from Recurrent Aphthous Stomatitis

Recurrent oral ulcers, which are the first and most common manifestation of Behçet’s disease (BD), have several etiological causes but often idiopathic known as recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS). In recent years, publications drawn attention to fact that whole-wall thickness (WWT) intima–media (IMT) measurements femoral vein (CFV) may be useful in diagnosis BD, independent organ involvement. this study, usefulness WWT IMT CFV measured by venous Doppler ultrasound (US) was investigated differentiating BD presenting with ulcers from RAS. Patients (n = 84), patients RAS 85), healthy controls (HCs) 70) were three groups included. Both right left significantly higher compared HCs (p < 0.001).
