Measuring Financial Inclusion in Southeast European Countries Using Multidimensional Index of Financial Inclusion

This paper provides an insight into measuring financial inclusion through a multidimensional index of in Southeast European countries (SEE). We used two-stage principal component analysis to extract dimensions inclusion. Data were obtained from two sources, the World Bank Global Findex Survey (WB-GFS) data base and International Monetary Fund Financial Access (IMF-FAS), for twelve SEE years 2011, 2014, 2017, 2021. The research confirms that can be measured using terms access as one factor usage availability second factor. Practical implications this are ensuring adequate measure level further related understanding underlying factors contributing inclusion, barriers well impact on economic growth poverty alleviation.
