Max-Min Fairness of Rate-Splitting Multiple Access With Finite Blocklength Communications

چکیده
Rate-Splitting Multiple Access (RSMA) has emerged as a flexible and powerful framework for wireless networks. In this paper, we investigate the user fairness of downlink multi-antenna RSMA in short-packet communications with/without cooperative (user-relaying) transmission. We design optimal time allocation linear precoders that maximize Max-Min Fairness (MMF) rate with Finite Blocklength (FBL) constraints. The relation between MMF blocklength, well impact transmission are investigated. Numerical results demonstrate can achieve same Non-Orthogonal (NOMA) Space Division (SDMA) smaller blocklengths (and therefore lower latency), especially deployment. Hence, conclude is promising multiple access guaranteeing low-latency communications.

We analyze a wireless communication system with finite block length and finite battery energy, under quasi-static Nakagami-m fading. Wireless energy transfer is carried out in the downlink while information transfer occurs in the uplink. Transmission strategies for scenarios with/without energy accumulation between transmission rounds are characterized in terms of error probability and energy c...
متن کاملUnifying View on Min-Max Fairness, Max-Min Fairness, and Utility Optimization in Cellular Networks
We are concerned with the control of quality of service (QoS) in wireless cellular networks utilizing linear receivers. We investigate the issues of fairness and total performance, which are measured by a utility function in the form of a weighted sum of link QoS. We disprove the common conjecture on incompatibility of min-max fairness and utility optimality by characterizing network classes in...
متن کاملMax-Min Fairness in Input-Queued Switches
This paper describes an algorithm that computes the maxmin fair allocation of rates for flows through an input-queued switch. The algorithm is provably max-min fair and can be implemented in a distributed fashion to dynamically determine flow rates.
متن کاملNOMA in Distributed Antenna System for Max-Min Fairness and Max-Sum-Rate
Distributed antenna system (DAS) has been deployed for over a decade. DAS has advantages in capacity especially for the cell edge users, in both single-cell and multi-cell environments. In this paper, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is suggested in single-cell DAS to maximize user fairness and sumrate. Two transmission strategies are considered: NOMA with single selection transmission and...
متن کاملLexicographic Max-Min Fairness in a Wireless Ad Hoc Network with Random Access
We consider the lexicographic max-min fair rate control problem at the link layer in a random access wireless network. In lexicographic max-min fair rate allocation, the minimum link rates are maximized in a lexicographic order. For the Aloha multiple access model, we propose iterative approaches that attain the optimal rates under very general assumptions on the network topology and communicat...
