MAT‐Index: An index for fast multiple aspect trajectory similarity measuring

چکیده
The semantic enrichment of mobility data with several information sources has led to a new type movement data, the so-called multiple aspect trajectories. Comparing trajectories is crucial for analysis tasks such as querying, clustering, similarity, and classification. Multiple trajectory similarity measurement more complex computationally expensive, because large number heterogeneous aspects space, time, semantics that require different treatment. Only few works in literature focus on optimizing all these dimensions single solution, and, best our knowledge, none them proposes fast point-to-point comparison. In this article we propose Aspect Trajectory Index, an index structure comparison trajectories, considering its three basic semantics. Quantitative qualitative evaluations show processing time reduction up 98.1%.

MSQ-Index: A Succinct Index for Fast Graph Similarity Search
Graph similarity search has received considerable attention in many applications, such as bioinformatics, data mining, pattern recognition, and social networks. Existing methods for this problem have limited scalability because of the huge amount of memory they consume when handling very large graph databases with millions or billions of graphs. In this paper, we study the problem of graph simi...
متن کاملTranslation Invariant Approach for Measuring Similarity of Signals
In many signal processing applications, an appropriate measure to compare two signals plays a fundamental role in both implementing the algorithm and evaluating its performance. Several techniques have been introduced in literature as similarity measures. However, the existing measures are often either impractical for some applications or they have unsatisfactory results in some other applicati...

متن کاملMLR-Index: An Index Structure for Fast and Scalable Similarity Search in High Dimensions
High-dimensional indexing has been very popularly used for performing similarity search over various data types such as multimedia (audio/image/video) databases, document collections, time-series data, sensor data and scientific databases. Because of the curse of dimensionality, it is already known that well-known data structures like kd-tree, R-tree, and M-tree suffer in their performance over...
متن کاملMeasuring User Similarity with Trajectory Patterns: Principles and New Metrics
Abstract. The accumulation of users’ whereabouts in location-based applications has made it possible to construct user mobility profiles. Trajectory patterns, i.e., traces of places of interest that a user frequently visits, are among the most popular models of mobility profiles. In this paper, we revisit measuring user similarity using trajectory patterns, which is an important supplement for ...
