The calculation of air distribution in large mine ventilation networks is usually carried out by numerically solving a system equations representing Kirchhoff’s circuit laws. This formulation the problem traditionally only considers frictional resistance straight sections airways. However, when analyzing changing modes, it also important to correctly consider shock losses, which sufficiently affect redistribution airflows. reason that loss factor strongly depends on airflow rates at junctions paper presents mathematical model network losses. steady-state as well natural draft. significance was confirmed with practical example; we describe application proposed for analysis potash during planned reversal.
