Maternal relationships and motivation in gifted children

چکیده

This study primarily investigates gifted children's and their mothers' acceptance-rejection control perceptions achievement motivation. The was carried out with 5th 6th year students attending Science Art Centers in two cities Turkey, mothers. sample of this research is 226 (103 girls 126 boys) 179 As data collection tools, Turkish Parent Parental Acceptance-Rejection Questionnaire/Control: Child (Short Form), Mother Scale Motivation Education were used. results the showed that children mothers perceived high level acceptance, low rejection mid-level mother-child relationships. A significant difference observed between parental control. It also seen identified external motivation intrinsic levels amotivation introjected low.
