BackgroundAlthough under-five mortality has declined in India, the target is yet to be achieved. The objective of this secondary analysis was find out influence maternal and child factors on likelihood among children.MethodsThe study based Indian National Family Health Survey-4, 2015-16 data. A stratified multistage clustering sampling technique used. primary outcome variable our deaths that occurred five years preceding data collection.ResultsHigher (11.7%) were significantly observed older age, 45–49 years. For education place residence, mothers with no rural residence had higher (5.99% 4.93%, respectively). Mothers who read newspaper/magazines almost every day lowest (1.99%). Birth order >6 associated high (11.0%).ConclusionThe shows maternal, are important determinants India.
