چکیده

Cardiovascular diseases cause approximately one-third of all deaths in the world, which 7.5 million are estimated to be due ischemic heart disease (IHD). Acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and sudden death most IHD-related deaths, represent 1.8 per year. Established, that patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) more likely experience ACS failure at greater risk for dying after an acute cardiac event, than without diabetes.
The purpose this study is evaluation leukocyte its populations count, leukocytes indices plasma level high sensitive C-reactive protein (hsCPR) hospitalized or 2 type DM. Material Methods. We observed 124 were randomized into two groups: 1st group – 93 DM; 2nd 31 30 apparently healthy persons included control group. studied count their subpopulations blood; calculated subpopulation indices: neutrophils lymphocytes ratio (NLR), monocytes (NMR), lymphocytes+monocytes (N/LMR), (NMR) admission. levels hs-CRP detected by ELISA method. Results study. significant increase white blood cells admission was our study, especially cases On contrary, counts decreased DM, versus data In patient increased parameter NMR (p<0.001). Similarly, following higher, compared parameters: NLR 3.32 times (in DM) 2.43 (p<0.001); N/LMR 2.98 2.14 LMR both groups 1.4 1.36 times, respectively (p<0.05). ACS, case DM (fig. 1): 2.1 2.59 Conclusion. characterized raised low lymphocyte association Diabetes Mellitus. Low-grade inflammation caused some ratios: NMR, N/LMR, NLR.

Frequency of diabetes mellitus in patients with acute coronary syndrome.

BACKGROUND Diabetes mellitus is a major risk factor for atherosclerosis which eventually causes cardiovascular disease specially affecting coronary arteries. Patients with diabetes have a risk for coronary events similar to that of patients without diabetes who have already had an event, and conversely many patients with established coronary artery disease suffer from diabetes or its pre- state...

Depression and quality of life in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Background: Depression as a frequent comorbidity in patients with diabetes requires serious attention, as failure to early detect and treat it can adversely affect the patients' complications. This study was performed to assess the prevalence of depression and quality of life in these patients. Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried-out on adult patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus ...

Adiposity markers and risk of coronary heart disease in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

BACKGROUND This cross-sectional study aimed to evaluating the association between body adiposity markers and high-risk of coronary heart disease (CHD) in patients with type 2 diabetes. METHODS Recent adiposity markers [waist-to-height ratio, conicity index (C-index) and body adiposity index] and traditional markers [BMI, waist circumference and waist-to-hip ratio (WHR)] were measured. The 10-...

Obesity-associated low-grade inflammation in type 2 diabetes mellitus: causes and consequences.

The epidemic of overweight and obesity is a major problem because of the plethora of health and economic issues that it induces. Key among these is the sharply increasing prevalence of type 2 diabetes (T2D) and cardiovascular disease. The development of T2D is characterised by two processes: 1) insulin resistance, resulting from impaired insulin signalling and leading to an increased demand for...
