Mapping the overlapping paratransit route in Medan City using GIS

Abstract Paratransit is one of Public Transport in Medan City which operates mixed traffic without a fixed schedule. This paper describes mapping paratransit network services condition Medan, Indonesia. travel routes are analysed using geographic information system that maps public transport routes. Analysis GIS used to explore routes, overlapping paratransit, terms spatial planning. The results the analysis can be by local authorities improve existing route. There lot route overlapping, especially along Sisingamangaraja Road and Gatot Subroto Road, 19 approximately 15 km.
