Mapping Long-Term Natural Orbits about Titania, a Satellite of Uranus

Close polar and circular orbits are of great interest for the exploration natural satellites. There still no studies in literature investigating around Titania, largest satellite Uranus. In this work, we present results a set numerical simulations carried out to obtain long-duration probe Titania. Through an expansion gravitational potential up second order, asymmetry field due Titania’s coefficient C22, zonal J2, perturbation Uranus is considered. The analysis lifetime sensitivity possible errors values J2 C22 investigated using multiple regression models. Simulations were performed different eccentricity values, maps constructed. show that low-altitude near-circular have longer lifetimes balance between disturbance coefficients also non-zero longitude periapsis (ω) ascending node (Ω) essential increase eight times compared cases where ω=Ω=0∘. We orbit with 10−3 most affected by C22.
