Manufacturing of high brightness dissolving pulp from sansevieria-trifasciata fiber by effective sequences processes

The need of dissolving pulp (DP) for rayon fiber production is increasing rapidly in recent years. Sustainable sources DP raw materials and an effective manufacturing process are urgently required. This study aims to manufacture with high brightness from Sansevieria-trifasciata (ST) through the pre-hydrolysis, soda-Anthraquinone (Soda-AQ) cooking, chlorine-free bleaching processes. cellulose content, kappa number, yield, viscosity were analyzed. results showed that ?-cellulose content ST material (39.43%) was relatively similar Acacia pulping kraft (39.2%). Furthermore, variations pre-hydrolysis time affected Kappa viscosity. obtained by elementary (ECF) had a 9.3 cP, 97.7%, 90.1% which higher than ISO standard brightness. this unique combination soda-AQ cooking sequences has great potential further development, as it can be used viscose staple fibers production.
