Mangrove Bio-Ecology for Rehabilitation Purposes in Pandeglang

Abstract This study aims to determine the bio-ecological condition of mangroves that could be considered for rehabilitation planning process by government or any other entities. was conducted in Ciseukeut-Panimbang, Pandeglang. Eight mangrove species were found, which belongs four families Avicenniaceae, Myrsinaceae, Euphorbiaceae, and Rhizophoraceae. The density site ranges from 113-744 ind/ha. results diversity index value showed vegetation low category with a range 0.04 – 0.16. indicates presence environmental pressures, so ecosystem is unstable. dominance 0.03 - 0.23. uniformity also at 0.01-0.08. shows Ciseukeut Panimbang Village experiencing pressure, its has decreased. Efforts rehabilitate regency can done planting dominant Avicennia sp Rhizophora . These play very important role Panimbang, 90,66% 56,77%. timing propagules Pandeglang area should carried out eastern season propagule grow optimally safely inundate tides occur western height up 1 m.
