Management of Insect Borne Human Diseases – A Case Study on Novel Bio-Larvicide for Mosquito Borne Diseases Including Dengue

چکیده
In India National Vector Borne Diseases Control programme is an umbrella organization for management and control of six out eight insect-borne human diseases, viz., Malaria, Lymphatic Filariasis (LF), Kala-azar, Dengue/ Chikungunya, Japanese Encephalitis. Of these, committed elimination the first three diseases from country. 8.6% India’s total population belongs to tribal community yet contribute 21% Plasmodium falciparum infection 29% malaria-related deaths. There urgent need implement novel strategies overcome insecticide resistance in Anopheles culicifacies that transmit 60-70% malaria cases India. One such strategy use Chilodonella uncinata, indigenous, maternally transmitted, facultative protozoan bio-larvicide with many biological properties against mosquito vectors. view above, if really aims achieve by 2030, there regions are given more attention.

School-based Prevention of Mosquito-borne Diseases: A Systematic Review
Background: Mosquito-borne diseases (MBDs) are among the important and highly complex issues in public health. School age children have been encouraged to participate in ongoing household MBDs control activities such as source reduction, as part of MBDs control efforts. Numerous school-based health education studies have been conducted worldwide on the interventions to prevent MBDs. However, th...
متن کاملControl and Management of Vector-Borne Diseases in Disaster Conditions
Disasters are a set of unexpected situations that occur as a result of natural misadventure or human manipulations. Depending on the type, time, and location of the events, the insect population causing vector-borne diseases is affected, which may eventually lead to widespread epidemics. Parasitic diseases such as malaria, leishmaniosis, arboviral diseases such as dengue fever, West Nile enceph...
متن کاملSterile-insect methods for control of mosquito-borne diseases: an analysis.
Effective vector control, and more specifically mosquito control, is a complex and difficult problem, as illustrated by the continuing prevalence (and spread) of mosquito-transmitted diseases. The sterile insect technique and similar methods control certain agricultural insect pest populations in a species-specific, environmentally sound, and effective manner; there is increased interest in app...
متن کاملNovel Selective and Irreversible Mosquito Acetylcholinesterase Inhibitors for Controlling Malaria and Other Mosquito-Borne Diseases
We reported previously that insect acetylcholinesterases (AChEs) could be selectively and irreversibly inhibited by methanethiosulfonates presumably through conjugation to an insect-specific cysteine in these enzymes. However, no direct proof for the conjugation has been published to date, and doubts remain about whether such cysteine-targeting inhibitors have desirable kinetic properties for i...
متن کاملClimate Changes and Vector-Borne Diseases With an Emphasis on Parasitic Diseases: A Narrative Review
Background and Objectives: The issue of climate change has currently become a critical concern for the global community as it affects the transmission and spread of a wide range of diseases. This study aims to examine the literature and scientific evidence concerning the impact of climate change on vector-borne diseases. Methods: In this review research, a comprehensive search and review of te...
