Management of Fibrous Hyperplasia in Geriatric Patient with Hypertension: A Case Report

Background: Fibrous hyperplasia or epulis fissuratum is a name related to reactive tissue response chronic irritation and trauma caused by dentures that are not properly attached. Persistent the oral mucosa can cause carcinoma. The treatment management of becomes very challenging for geriatric patients.
 Objective: To discuss fibrous in patients with history hypertensive disease.
 Case Report: A 63-year-old woman hypertension presented Periodontia Department Hasanuddin University Dental Oral Health Hospital complaints swollen gingiva, enlargement beginning ±6 months prior. Clinical examination showed gingiva 4×1×0.6 cm diameter along alveolar linger ridge right lower jaw. inflammation was suspected be hyperplasia/epulis fissuratum. procedure performed excision administration cyanoacrylate.
 Results: One week one month postoperatively, good healing process excellent result no more gingival were reported.
 Conclusion: prevention strategies as well cyanoacrylate an effective bleeding control accelerate hypertension.
