Management of diacapitular mandibular condyle fracture using a single lag screw fixation: Case Repor
نویسندگان
چکیده
Introduction: Mandibular fractures are the most common facial affecting various anatomical sites of mandible. Among mandibular fractures, management condylar remains a challenging task for surgeons. Case Report: We report case 28 year old male patient who presented with pain in chin and restricted mouth opening. Computed tomography revealed sagittal fracture right head medial displacement fractured fragments. Management diacapitular includes open reduction internal fixation condyle using single lag-screw. Results: The postoperative outcomes were favorable, where normal movements, desired dental occlusion exact positioning rigid established thereby maintaining shape condyle. Conclusion: Use lag screw is highly recommended as it greatly supports stabilized fragments also aid prevention fragment rotation medially.

Lag screw fixation of a nonstable zygomatic complex fracture: case report.
Fractures of the zygomatic complex and their treatment have been the focus of much attention in the last 30 years. Treatment frequently depends on the surgical findings, experience, and discretion of the surgeon. Treatment of zygomatic complex (ZMC) fractures often requires stabilization at the frontozygomatic (FZ) suture. Frodel’ and Marentette’ have described the use of lag screw fixation of ...
متن کاملOverview of Mandibular Condyle Fracture
The mandibular condyle is a region that plays a key role in the opening and closing of the mouth, and because fracture causes functional and aesthetic problems such as facial asymmetry, it is very important to perform accurate reduction. Traditionally, there has been disagreement on how to manage fracture of the mandibular condyle. This review explores the misunderstanding of mandibular condyle...
متن کاملComparison of migration behavior between single and dual lag screw implants for intertrochanteric fracture fixation
BACKGROUND Lag screw cut-out failure following fixation of unstable intertrochanteric fractures in osteoporotic bone remains an unsolved challenge. This study tested if resistance to cut-out failure can be improved by using a dual lag screw implant in place of a single lag screw implant. Migration behavior and cut-out resistance of a single and a dual lag screw implant were comparatively evalua...
